Tax season is well underway, which for many of us means it is time to gather key financial documents and work with our wealth advisors, accountants, attorneys, and other professionals to ensure a timely and accurate filing. What we likely don’t also appreciate is that all this attention given to producing financial can be a scammer’s paradise to steal key information that can be used against you during tax season and beyond. It is important to stay vigilant to protect your key documents and be aware of who you are working with in order to ensure your information does not end up in the wrong hands.
